Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground turkey, bake uncovered in hot oven until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 17-20 minutes.

  • If using Impossible burger, bake uncovered in hot oven until burger reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 18-20 minutes.

    Start the Vegetables and Beef

    Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Remove all produce from any packaging or constraints, then thoroughly rinse and pat dry.

    In provided tray, combine diced peppers, mushrooms, and 2 tsp. olive oil. Top vegetables with ground beef, breaking up meat into smaller pieces.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until beef starts to brown, 15-20 minutes.

    Assemble the Casserole

    Carefully remove tray from oven and drain excess liquid. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Add tomato sauce, chimichurri seasoning, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Stir to combine, breaking up any large pieces of ground beef. Spread into an even layer.

    Top evenly with pepperoni and cheese.

    Bake the Meal

    Bake again uncovered in hot oven until cheese has browned and ground beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 12-15 minutes.

    Carefully remove tray from oven. Bon appétit!
