Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

1 Prepare The Slaw
Quarter apple and remove core. Cut into 1/4" slices
In a mixing bowl, combine apples, slaw mix, and onion dressing. Set aside. -
2 Make The Pork Mixture
In a large nonstick pan over medium high heat, add 2 tsp olive oil. Add pork and cook 2 minutes, breaking up chunks with a wooden spoon. Add bbq spice rub, chicken base, and 1/4 cup water. Bring to a simmer. Remove from the heat and add honey.

3 Assemble Sandwiches
Place pork mixture on the bottom bun. Top with cheddar cheese. Set under broiler until cheese is melted and buns are toasted, 1 minute.
