Before You Cook

    Prepare The Slaw

    Quarter apple and remove core. Cut into ¼" slices In a mixing bowl, combine apples, slaw mix, and onion dressing. Set aside.

    Make The Pork Mixture

    In a large nonstick pan over medium high heat, add 2 tsp olive oil. Add pork and cook 2 minutes, breaking up chunks with a wooden spoon. Add bbq spice rub, chicken base, and ¼ cup water. Bring to a simmer. Remove from the heat and add honey.

    Assemble Sandwiches

    Place pork mixture on the bottom bun. Top with cheddar cheese. Set under broiler until cheese is melted and buns are toasted, 1 minute.
