Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

If using ground pork, follow same instructions as ground beef in Steps 2 and 3, baking uncovered in hot oven until pork reaches minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

Prepare the Ingredients
Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry.
Combine green beans and apples in provided tray. Spread into a single layer.Bake uncovered in hot oven, 10 minutes. -
Make the Meatballs
While green beans and apples bake, finely crush crackers.
Combine ground beef, bacon, 1/3 the mayonnaise (reserve remaining for sauce), crushed crackers, 1/4 tsp. salt, a pinch of pepper, and half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for green beans and apples) in a mixing bowl. Form into six equally-sized meatballs.Carefully remove tray from oven. Push apples and green beans to one side and top with remaining garlic salt, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.Place meatballs in empty side of tray. -
Finish the Dish
Bake uncovered in hot oven until meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 20-25 minutes.
While meal bakes, in another mixing bowl, combine remaining mayonnaise, honey, and Dijon.Carefully remove tray from oven. Rest meal, 3 minutes. Garnish meatballs with mayonnaise-honey mixture and crispy onions. Bon appétit!
