Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

1 Prepare The Ingredients
On a separate cutting board, remove Italian sausage from casing and break into small pieces.
Pat chicken breasts dry. -
2 Start The Meal
In a clean slow cooker, combine mirepoix blend, diced tomatoes, garlic salt, chicken demi, and bacon. Top with chicken breast and Italian sausage.
Turn slow cooker on to high heat. Cover, and cook until sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 4 hours. -
3 Stir In Beans and Make The Pasta
Drain beans. With 30 minutes remaining, stir in beans.
Make a cornstarch slurry. Slowly add to slow cooker until completely combined.Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Once water is boiling, add pasta and cook until al dente, 8-10 minutes -
4 Finish The Dish
