Before You Cook

Bake the Fries
Cut potatoes into 1/2"-thick fries. Pat dry.
Place fries on prepared baking sheet and toss with 1 tsp. olive oil and 1/4 tsp. salt. Massage oil and salt into fries. Sprinkle Parmesan on fries and press gently to adhere.Spread into a single layer. Bake in hot oven until golden brown and tender, 25-30 minutes, flipping once halfway through.While fries bake, prepare ingredients.
Prepare the Ingredients
Stem, seed, remove ribs, and cut green bell pepper into 1/2" dice.
Remove Italian sausage from casing, if necessary. Form into two flat, evenly-sized patties, about 4" in diameter.
Make the Pepper Relish
Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat with 1 tsp. olive oil.
Add green bell pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until fork-tender, 5-7 minutes.Remove from burner and stir in chipotle pesto (to taste) and balsamic glaze until combined. Transfer relish to a plate. Wipe pan clean and reserve.
Cook the Patties
Return pan used to cook relish to medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.
Add sausage patties to hot pan and cook until golden brown and patties reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 2-3 minutes per side.Remove from burner and top with sliced cheese. Cover until cheese is melted, 2-4 minutes.While cheese melts, toast buns.
Toast Buns and Finish Dish
Place buns directly on oven rack in hot oven and toast until golden-brown, 1-2 minutes.
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom bun with patty, pepper relish, and top bun. Bon appétit!
