Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

1 Start the Meatballs
Remove Italian sausage from casing, if necessary.
In a mixing bowl, combine panko and 2 Tbsp. water. Rest, 1 minute.After 1 minute, add ricotta and sausage. Stir until thoroughly combined. Form mixture into 8 equally-sized meatballs and place in provided tray. Evenly top with 1 tsp. olive oil.Bake uncovered in hot oven, 15 minutes.Meatballs will finish cooking in a later step.Carefully remove from oven. -
2 Finish the Meatballs
Tear spinach.
Add spinach, cream base, chicken base, shredded cheese, garlic and parsley seasoning, a pinch of pepper, and 1/4 tsp. salt to tray. Stir to combine and cover tray with foil. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.Bake covered in hot oven until spinach is wilted, sauce is slightly thickened, and meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 10-15 minutes.Carefully remove from oven.If sauce is too thick, add water, 1 tsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached. -
3 Heat Pasta and Finish Meal
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine pasta and 1 tsp. water. Cover with a damp paper towel.
Microwave covered until pasta is heated through, 2-3 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave.Transfer pasta to tray and stir to combine. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.To serve, top pasta with meatballs. Garnish with grated cheese. Bon appétit!
