Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Cook the Pork

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add 1 tsp. olive oil, ground pork, ¼ tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes. Remove from burner. While pork cooks, prepare ingredients.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Cut broccoli into bite-sized pieces. Trim ends off snow peas.

    Cook the Vegetables

    Place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add broccoli to hot pan and stir occasionally until partially cooked, 3-4 minutes. Stir in snow peas, water chestnuts, and garlic salt. Cook until snow peas are tender, 2-3 minutes. Remove from burner.

    Add the Sauce

    Return pan with pork to medium-high heat.
    Stir Korean BBQ Sauce, ¼ tsp. salt, and ¼ cup water into hot pan. Bring to a boil. Once boiling, stir until combined, 30-60 seconds. Remove from burner.
