Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

1 Cook the Beef
Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add ground beef to hot, dry pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.
Drain any excess liquid from pan, if desired. Pan will be hot! Use caution.Stir in chili powder (to taste) and garlic salt until combined, 20-30 seconds.Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the chili powder. Remove from burner.While beef cooks, continue recipe. -
2 Prepare the Ingredients
Core tomato, halve lengthwise, and cut into 1/2" dice.
Stem mint, stack leaves, roll into a long cylinder, and slice lengthwise to create very thin strips. -
3 Make the Crema
In a mixing bowl, combine creme fraiche and chimichurri (to taste). Set aside.
Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the chimichurri. -
4 Assemble and Broil Flatbreads and Finish Dish
Place flatbreads on a clean, flat work surface. Evenly top with cheese, beef, tomatoes, then 1 tsp. olive oil. Transfer flatbreads to prepared baking sheet.
Broil under hot broiler until flatbread edges have browned and cheese is melted, 4-5 minutes.Don't text and broil! Keep an eye on oven as flatbreads may burn easily under broiler.Carefully remove from oven.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping flatbread with crema (to taste) and mint. Quarter flatbread, if desired. Bon appétit!
