Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

Meatlovers! If using protein, cook in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 1 tsp. olive oil. If using antibiotic free chicken breasts, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side. If using shrimp, pat dry. Cook until pink and shrimp reach minimum internal temperature, 2-3 minutes per side. If using steak strips, pat dry, coarsely chop, then separate pieces. Stir occasionally until steak reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes. Rest, 3 minutes. Add protein to meal as desired.

Cook the Pasta
Once water is boiling, add pasta and cook until al dente, 10-12 minutes.
Remove from burner. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta cooking water. Drain pasta in a colander and return to pot.While pasta cooks, continue recipe. -
Prepare the Ingredients
Cut mushrooms into 1/4" slices.
Halve tomatoes.Stem and coarsely chop oregano.Peel and halve shallot. Slice halves into thin strips.Mince garlic. -
Toast the Baguette
Halve baguette, if necessary, and place on prepared baking sheet, cut-side up. Top evenly with 1 tsp. olive oil, half the garlic (reserve remaining for vegetables), and a pinch of salt and pepper.
Toast in hot oven until golden-brown, 7-9 minutes.Carefully remove from oven.While baguette toasts, continue recipe. -
Cook the Vegetables
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add shallots and remaining garlic to hot pan. Stir occasionally until softened and aromatic, 1-2 minutes.Add mushrooms and stir occasionally until beginning to brown, 2-3 minutes.Add tomatoes, oregano, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Stir occasionally until softened, 2-3 minutes. -
Add Pasta and Sauce and Finish Dish
Add cream base and 1/3 cup reserved pasta cooking water to hot pan. Bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, add pasta, cheese, garlic salt, and a pinch of pepper. Stir constantly until slightly thickened, 1-2 minutes.If sauce is too thick, add additional reserved pasta cooking water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card.
