Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using ground turkey, roast until meatloaves reach minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

If using Impossible burger, roast until loaves reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 25-30 minutes.

1 Start Carrots and Roast Garlic
Peel, trim, and cut carrot into 1/2" half-moons.
Mince half the garlic.Wrap remaining garlic in a piece of foil and create a pouch around garlic. Top with 1 tsp. olive oil and a pinch of salt. Place in corner of prepared baking sheet.Place carrots on empty space of baking sheet and toss with 1 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Spread into a single layer.Roast in hot oven, 10 minutes.While carrots and garlic roast, continue recipe. -
2 Form the Meatloaves
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, panko, ricotta, minced garlic, and 1/2 tsp. salt. Form mixture into two equally-sized, oval-shaped loaves, about 3" in length and 2" by height.

3 Roast Meatloaves and Finish Carrots
After 10 minutes, carefully remove baking sheet from oven. Remove garlic pouch from baking sheet. Sheet and pouch will be hot! Use an oven mitt. Let garlic steam in foil, 10 minutes.
Push carrots to one side of sheet and spread into an even layer on their side. Carrots will be hot! Use a utensil. Place meatloaves on empty side of sheet and top with cooking spray.Roast in hot oven until carrots are fork-tender and meatloaves reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 20-25 minutes. -
4 Make the Garlic Butter
After 10 minutes, remove roasted garlic from pouch.
In another mixing bowl, combine roasted garlic and butter. Mash until combined and smooth.Carefully remove baking sheet from oven. Top carrots with garlic butter and stir to combine. -
5 Make Sauce and Finish Dish
Place a small non-stick pan over medium heat. Add marinara and 2 Tbsp. water to hot pan and stir occasionally until heated through, 1-2 minutes.
Remove from burner. Stir in half the shredded cheese (reserve remaining for topping) until melted and combined.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping meatloaf with sauce, then remaining shredded cheese. Garnish carrots with honey and red pepper flakes (to taste). Bon appétit!
