Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

    Prepare the Ingredients

    PREWRITTEN Cut broccoli into bite-sized pieces. Peel and cut sweet potato into 1"-thick wedges. Wrap garlic cloves in foil pouch. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, seasoning blend, panko, ¼ tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Divide into 4 evenly-sized portions and roll into meatballs. In another mixing bowl, combine cheddar-jack cheese,cream cheese, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Divide into 4 evenly-sized portions and roll into balls.

    Form the Meatloaves

    Press thumb into center of each meatball and place a cheese ball in the indentation. Close meat around cheese and re-form into a ball. Gently flatten the balls into oval shapes, about 3" long. Top meatloaves with 1 tsp. olive oil. Place loaves on one half of prepared baking sheet and roast in hot oven, 10 minutes. Meatloaves will finish cooking in a later step. While meatloaves roast, roast broccoli.

    Roast the Broccoli

    Place broccoli on second prepared baking sheet. Toss with 2 tsp. olive oil, ¼ tsp. salt, and pepper. Spread into a single layer. Place garlic pouch in corner of baking sheet. Roast in hot oven until broccoli is browned and fork-tender and garlic has softened, 14-16 minutes. Remove from oven.

    Roast the Sweet Potatoes and Meatloaves

    After 10 minutes, carefully remove meatloaves from oven. Add sweet potatoes, 2 tsp. olive oil, ¼ tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper to other half of baking sheet and toss to combine. Spread into a single layer. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil. Roast in hot oven until sweet potatoes are tender and meatloaves reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 15-18 minutes. Carefully remove from oven and season sweet potatoes with a pinch of salt. While sweet potatoes and meatloaves roast, start broccoli.

    Make Garlic Aioli and Finish Dish

    Microwave BBQ sauce in a microwave-safe bowl until warmed through, 30-60 seconds. Top meatloaves with BBQ sauce. In another mixing bowl, mash roasted garlic with 1 Tbsp. water. Add mayonnaise and stir to combine. Plate dish as pictured on front of card, serving garlic aioli with sweet potatoes. Bon appetit!
