Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • Meatlovers! If using protein, cook in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 1 tsp. olive oil. If using ground beef, break up meat until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes. If using ground turkey, break up meat until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes. Add to pasta as desired.

    Cook Peppers and Onions and Prepare Broccoli

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 Tbsp. olive oil. Add pepper and onion mix and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Stir occasionally until vegetables are tender, 6-8 minutes.

    While peppers and onions cook, cut broccoli into bite-sized pieces.

    Add the Broccoli and Sauce

    Add broccoli, minced garlic and lemon basil, tomato sauce, red pepper flakes (to taste), garlic salt, and 1/2 cup water to hot pan. Cover and bring to a simmer.

    Once simmering, cook until broccoli is tender, 4-6 minutes.

    Add the Pasta

    Add pasta to hot pan. Stir often until pasta is coated in sauce and heated through, 1-2 minutes.

    Remove from burner. Stir in butter and half the cheese (reserve remaining for garnish) until melted and combined.

    Finish the Dish

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with remaining cheese. Bon appétit!
