Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees. When ingredient appears in recipe, remove from packaging. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry. Mix pulled pork, pepper and onion mix, corn, salsa, ¼ tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper in provided tray until completely combined. If using 16 oz. pulled pork, follow same instructions. If using ground pork or ground beef, crumble into small pieces and follow same instructions.

    Bake the Dish

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until peppers are tender and pulled pork is heated through, 18-20 minutes. If using 16 oz. pulled pork, follow same instructions. If using ground pork or ground beef, bake uncovered in hot oven until meat reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 18-20 minutes.

    Finish the Dish

    Carefully, remove from oven. Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave until warm, 30-60 seconds. Fill tortillas with pulled pork mixture, cheese, and sour cream. Bon appétit!
