Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

    Prep

    Cut mushrooms into quarters.

    Start sauce

    Place a medium pot on medium heat. Add 2 tsp olive oil, mushrooms and cook until mushrooms are slightly browned. 2-3 minutes.

    Make sauce

    Add crushed tomatoes, seitan, chili flake (to taste) , mirepoix broth, 1/4 tsp salt and a pinch of pepper. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.

    Plate the meal

    When sauce is done. Add cooked spaghetti and butter. Stir and top with parmesan cheese.
