Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using flank steak, follow same instructions as steak strips.

  • If using Impossible burger, follow same instructions as steak strips in Steps 1, 2, and 3, breaking up burger and baking in hot oven until heated through, 20-25 minutes.

  • If using shrimp, pat dry. Follow same instructions as steak strips in Steps 1, 2, and 3, baking in hot oven until shrimp reach minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

    Bake the Steak Strips and Peppers

    Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry. Spray provided tray with cooking spray.

    Separate steak strips into a single layer and pat dry.

    Place steak strips in tray in a single layer and top evenly with garlic salt, diced peppers, 2 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven, 12 minutes.

    Add the Pasta

    Carefully remove tray from oven. Stir, breaking up steak strips. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Stir in tomatoes, red cooking wine, half the Italian seasoning, 1/4 cup water, and pasta until completely combined.

    Spray a piece of foil with cooking spray. Cover tray with foil, sprayed side down.

    Bake the Meal

    Bake covered in hot oven until pasta is heated through and steak strips reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 10-12 minutes.

    Carefully remove tray from oven. Rest, 3 minutes.

    Remove foil. Coarsely crush cheese crisps. Top with Parmesan, red pepper flakes (to taste), remaining Italian seasoning (if desired) and crushed cheese crisps. Bon appétit!
