Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Drain black beans. Combine rice, beans, a pinch of pepper, and 2 Tbsp. water in provided tray.

    Add the Chicken

    Pat chicken dry. Top rice mixture with chicken, then seasoning blend and a pinch of pepper.

    Bake the Dish

    Cover tray with foil. Bake covered in hot oven, 15 minutes. Carefully remove from oven and remove foil. Top chicken with cheese. Bake uncovered until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 5-7 minutes. Carefully remove from oven and garnish with guacamole. Bon appétit!
