Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Bake The Turkey and Onions

    Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Remove lid and label, if necessary. Reserve lid. When ingredient appears in recipe, remove from packaging. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry. Combine ground turkey, buttermilk seasoning, red onions, and a pinch of salt and pepper in provided tray. Bake uncovered in hot oven for 15 minutes. Remove pan from oven and top with naan bread. Continue to cook until turkey reach a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 5-7 minutes.

    Make The Slaw

    Combine slaw mix, sour cream and pesto on reserved lid.

    Finish The Dish

    Fill naan bread with turkey mixture and top with slaw, banana peppers, and crispy onions. Bon appétit!
