Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F
Customize It Instructions

If using 20 oz. ground turkey, follow same instructions as 10 oz., working in batches if necessary.

If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

Prepare the Ingredients
Cut flatbreads into 1/2" dice.
Halve and peel onion. Cut halves into 1/2" dice.Mince garlic. -
Start the Soup
Place a medium pot over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add ground turkey, onions, carrots, and half the garlic (reserve remaining for croutons) to hot pot. Break up meat until no pink remains and turkey reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 7-9 minutes.Add flour and stir until no dry flour remains. -
Finish the Soup
Add garlic salt, a pinch of pepper, chicken base, and 4 cups water to hot pot. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, add orzo. Reduce heat to low and stir occasionally until orzo is al dente, 4-5 minutes.Remove from burner.While soup cooks, continue recipe. -
Coat the Croutons
Add butter to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave until melted, 15-20 seconds.
Carefully remove from microwave.Add flatbread pieces and remaining garlic to bowl with melted butter. Gently toss until croutons are evenly coated. -
Toast Croutons and Finish Dish
Transfer croutons to prepared baking sheet.
Toast in hot oven until croutons are golden-brown, 8-12 minutes.Carefully remove from oven.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing soup with croutons. Bon appétit!
