Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground turkey, add meatballs to hot pan and cook until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 11-13 minutes.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Trim ends off green beans, if necessary.

    Core tomato and cut into 1/2" dice.

    Place butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave until melted, 30-60 seconds.

    Roast the Green Beans

    Place green beans on prepared baking sheet. Toss with 1 tsp. olive oil, piri piri blend (to taste), and a pinch of salt and pepper. Spread into a single layer.

    Roast in hot oven until green beans are tender but still crisp, 11-15 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven. Pour melted butter over green beans and toss or gently stir to coat. Sheet and green beans will be hot! Use a utensil.

    While green beans roast, continue recipe.

    Form the Meatballs

    In a mixing bowl, combine panko, 1 Tbsp. water, and a pinch of salt. Let sit, 1 minute.

    After 1 minute, add ground beef, buttermilk-dill seasoning, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Form mixture into six equally-sized meatballs.

    Cook the Meatballs

    Place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add meatballs to hot pan. Roll occasionally until browned all over and meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 10-14 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    While meatballs cook, continue recipe.

    Make Tomato Topping and Finish Dish

    In another mixing bowl, combine tomatoes, 1 tsp. olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping meatballs with tzatziki, tomato topping, and cheese. Bon appétit!
