Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground turkey, roast until loaves reach minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

  1. 1

Prepare Green Beans and Make Pimento Cheese

    Trim green beans, if necessary.

In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, hot sauce (to taste), and half the pesto (reserve remaining for meatloaves). Set aside.

  2. 2

    Form the Meatloaves

In another mixing bowl, combine panko and 2 Tbsp. water. Let sit, 1 minute.

After 1 minute, add ground beef, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper, and remaining pesto. Stir until thoroughly combined.

Form beef mixture into 2 equally-sized, oval-shaped loaves, about 3" in length and 2" by height.

  3. 3

    Roast the Meatloaves

Place meatloaves on prepared baking sheet and evenly top with BBQ sauce.

Roast in hot oven until meatloaves reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 17-22 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven.

    While meatloaves roast, continue recipe.

  4. 4

    Bake the Corn Muffins

In another mixing bowl, combine corn muffin mix and 1/3 cup water until a thick batter forms.

Evenly divide batter among four cups of prepared muffin tin. Cups should be filled about halfway. Evenly divide pimento cheese between cups, placing in center.

Bake on middle rack in hot oven until slightly browned and muffin tops start to crack, 14-17 minutes.

After 14-17 minutes, carefully remove from oven.

While corn muffins bake, continue recipe.

  5. 5

Cook Green Beans and Finish Dish

Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.

Add green beans to hot pan and cook, 1 minute.

Add 1/4 cup water. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

Once simmering, cover and stir occasionally until water is almost completely evaporated, 6-8 minutes.

Uncover; stir in bacon and a pinch of salt and pepper until green beans are tender, 1-2 minutes.

If green beans need more time, add 2 Tbsp. water, cover, and stir occasionally, 1-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping corn muffins with 1 Tbsp. softened butter. Bon appétit!
