Before You Cook

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using chicken breasts, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

  • If using NY strip steak, pat dry. Cook until steak reaches desired doneness, or 4-6 minutes per side for medium/medium-well. Rest, 3 minutes. Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

    Prepare Ingredients and Make Mustard Sauce

    Cut broccoli into bite-sized pieces.

    Remove stems and seeds, and cut bell peppers into 1/2" slices.

    In a mixing bowl, combine mustard and crème fraîche. Set aside.

    Pat salmon dry and season flesh side with potato spice seasoning and a pinch of pepper.

    Start the Vegetables

    Place broccoli and bell peppers on one side of prepared baking sheet. Spray with cooking spray and toss with 1/4 tsp. salt and a pinch of pepper. Spread into a single layer on their side.

    Roast in hot oven, 8 minutes.

    Add the Salmon

    Carefully remove baking sheet from oven.

    Place salmon on empty side of prepared baking sheet, skin-side down.

    Top flesh side of salmon evenly with mustard sauce. Sheet will be hot! Use caution.

    Roast the Salmon and Vegetables

    Roast in hot oven until vegetables are tender, topping browns, and salmon reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 10-15 minutes.

    While salmon and vegetables roast, continue recipe.

    Make Bacon Butter and Finish Dish

    Place a small non-stick pan over medium heat and add bacon to hot, dry pan. Stir occasionally until crispy, 1-2 minutes.

    Remove from burner. Add butter and stir until melted. Transfer bacon butter to another mixing bowl. Carefully add vegetables to bowl with bacon butter and toss until combined and coated. Vegetables and butter will be hot! Use caution.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card. Bon appétit!
