Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Cook in a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

    Prepare the Shrimp and Squash

    Pat shrimp dry. If you receive cooked shrimp, drain thoroughly and pat dry. Follow same instructions and bake uncovered in hot oven, 15-20 minutes.

    In provided tray, combine shrimp, squash, 2 tsp. olive oil, 3/4 the Cajun seasoning (use less if spice-averse; remaining is yours to use as you please!), and a pinch of salt and pepper. Spread into an even layer.

    Bake the Shrimp and Squash

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until shrimp reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 20-25 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven. Drain any excess liquid and stir in pesto until combined. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    While shrimp and squash bake, continue recipe.

    Heat Mashed Potatoes, Assemble Slaw, and Finish Meal

    Place mashed potatoes in a microwave-safe bowl and vigorously stir to combine. Microwave until heated through, 2-3 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave and add half the cheese (reserve remaining for garnish). Vigorously stir to combine.

    While mashed potatoes heat, in a mixing bowl, combine slaw mix, dressing, and a pinch of salt.

    To serve, garnish mashed potatoes with remaining cheese. Bon appétit!
