Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using whole chicken breasts, pat dry and, on a clean cutting board, cut into 1” dice. Follow same instructions as shrimp in Steps 2 and 3, baking uncovered in hot oven until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

  • If using steak strips, spread into a single layer, pat dry, and coarsely chop. Follow same instructions as shrimp in Steps 2 and 3, baking uncovered in hot oven until steak reaches minimum internal temperature, 15-20 minutes.

    Cook the Peppers

    Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry.

    Combine diced peppers, onion, 1 tsp. olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper in provided tray. Spread into a single layer.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until mostly tender, 10-12 minutes.

    Add the Orzo and Shrimp

    Combine chicken base and 1 tsp. water in a mixing bowl.

    Carefully remove tray from oven. Stir in orzo, pesto, and chicken base-water mixture, then push to one side of tray. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Drain shrimp thoroughly. Pat dry.

    Combine shrimp, seasoning blend, and 1 tsp. olive oil in empty side of tray. Top with tomatoes and stir to combine.

    Bake the Meal

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until shrimp reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 15-20 minutes.

    Carefully remove tray from oven. Garnish with crème fraîche and crispy jalapeños (to taste). Bon appétit!
