Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using ground turkey, cook until patties reach minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes per side.

If using Impossible burger, cook until patties reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes per side.

1 Bake the Fries
Cut potatoes into 1/2"-thick fries and pat dry.
Place fries on prepared baking sheet and toss with 1 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper.Spread into a single layer. Bake in hot oven until lightly browned, 25-30 minutes, tossing once halfway through.While fries bake, continue recipe. -
2 Prepare Ingredients and Make Dipping Sauce
Quarter and remove core from apple. Cut into 1/4" dice.
In a mixing bowl, combine half the maple seasoning (reserve remaining for apples) and 1/2 tsp. hot water. Stir until dissolved, then add mayonnaise and stir until smooth. Set aside.Form ground beef into two equally-sized patties, about 5" in diameter, and season both sides with a pinch of salt and pepper. -
3 Cook the Bacon and Apples
Line a plate with a paper towel.
Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add bacon to hot, dry pan and stir often until crispy, 1-2 minutes.Transfer bacon to towel-lined plate. Keep pan over medium-high heat. Add 1 tsp. olive oil, apples, and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Stir occasionally until beginning to soften, 6-8 minutes.Add 1/4 cup water and remaining maple seasoning. Stir occasionally until liquid is almost completely evaporated, 3-5 minutes.Remove from burner.While apples cook, continue recipe. -
4 Toast Buns and Cook Patties
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add buns to hot, dry pan and toast until browned, 1-3 minutes.
Transfer buns to a plate. Keep pan over medium-high heat. Add patties to hot, dry pan. Cook until lightly charred and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes per side.Top patties with cheese. Cover and cook until melted, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner. -
5 Finish the Dish
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom bun with apples, bacon, patty, arugula, then top bun. Serve dipping sauce on the side for fries. Bon appétit!
