Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using pork chops, follow same instructions as chicken in Step 3, roasting until pork reaches minimum internal temperature, 12-14 minutes. Rest, 3 minutes. Pork chop thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner chop, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

  • If using sirloin steaks, follow same instructions as chicken in Step 3, roasting until steak reaches minimum internal temperature, 12-16 minutes. Rest, 3 minutes. Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

    Start the Mashed Potatoes

    Peel and cut potatoes into large evenly-sized chunks.

    Bring a medium pot with potato chunks covered by water to a boil.

    Once boiling, cook until fork-tender, 14-18 minutes.

    Remove from burner. Reserve 1/2 cup potato cooking water. Drain potatoes in a colander and return to pot.

    While potatoes boil, continue recipe.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Mince chives.

    In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise and 1 tsp. water. Set aside.

    Combine panko, cheese, and 1 tsp. olive oil on a plate.

    Cook the Chicken

    Pat chicken dry and season both sides with 1/4 tsp. pepper and half the onion salt (reserve remaining for potatoes).

    Place one side of chicken into mayonnaise mixture, then place onto panko-cheese mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

    Place chicken on prepared baking sheet, topping-side up, and roast in hot oven until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 15-20 minutes.

    Finish the Mashed Potatoes

    Add sour cream, butter, remaining onion salt, a pinch of pepper, and 2 Tbsp. potato cooking water to pot with potatoes.

    Mash until combined and smooth. If too thick, add additional potato cooking water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.

    Stir in half the chives (reserve remaining for garnish).

    Finish the Dish

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping mashed potatoes with crispy onions and remaining chives. Bon appétit!
