Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Prepare The Ingredients

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Remove lid and label, if needed. When ingredient appears in recipe, remove from packaging.

    Thoroughly combine pork, half the cheese, 1/4 tsp salt and a pinch of pepper in bottom of provided tray. Divide into 6 equal-sized pieces and roll into meatballs.

    Place meatballs around border of provided tray.

    Assemble The Dish

    Add rice, fajita mix, and fajita seasoning to center of tray. Thoroughly combine, then spread into a single layer. Sprinkle remaining cheese all over.

    Bake The Dish

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 15-20 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven and let cool slightly, 5 minutes.

    Top rice mixture with banana peppers. Bon appétit!
