Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Prepare The Ingredients

    Stem, seed, remove ribs, and cut red bell pepper into 1/2" dice.

    Cut mushrooms into 1/4" slices.

    Start The Meal

    In a clean slow cooker, combine mushrooms, red bell pepper, marinara and half the garlic salt.

    Top with chicken and season with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper.

    Turn slow cooker on to high heat. Cover, and cook until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 4 hours.

    Make The Pasta

    Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Once water is boiling, add pasta and cook until al dente, 9-10 minutes. Strain, reserving 1 cup of pasta cooking water.

    Finish The Dish

    Stir pasta, 1 cup cooking water, half the cheese, and peas into slow cooker.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing with remaining cheese and crispy onions. Bon appétit!
