Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Quarter potatoes. Mince garlic. Pat chicken dry.

    Cook the Meal

    Place slow cooker liner in slow cooker, if desired. If using an electric pressure cooker, fold edges on top in before putting on lid. Add ½ cup water, flour, garlic, demi-glace, white wine, and ½ tsp. salt to slow cooker and stir to combine. Top with chicken and season chicken with garlic salt. Top chicken with potatoes, 2 Tbsp. olive oil, ¼ tsp. salt, and ¼ tsp. pepper. Turn slow cooker on to high heat. Cover, and cook until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 4 hours.

    Add the Peas and Butter

    After 3 ½ hours, add peas and butter.

    Finish the Dish

    After 4 hours, shred chicken into large chunks. Stir meal to combine. Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing with Parmesan. Bon appétit!
