Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground turkey, cook until patties reach minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes per side.

  1. 1

    Start the Fries

Cut potatoes into 1/4" fries and pat dry.

Place fries on prepared baking sheet and toss with 2 tsp. olive oil and garlic salt. Spread into a single layer.

Roast in hot oven, 12 minutes.

    While fries roast, continue recipe.

  2. 2

    Roast Jalapeños and Finish Fries

Slice jalapeño into thin rounds on an angle. Wash hands and cutting board after working with jalapeño.

After 12 minutes, carefully remove sheet from oven. Flip fries and push to one side of sheet. Sheet and fries will be hot! Use a utensil.

Place jalapeños (use less if spice-averse) on empty side of sheet and toss with 1 tsp. olive oil. Spread into a single layer. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.

Roast in hot oven until vegetables are browned, 13-16 minutes.

Carefully remove from oven. Stir 3/4 the fiesta seasoning (reserve remaining for shallots) into fries. Sheet and fries will be hot! Use a utensil.

    While vegetables roast, continue recipe.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Ingredients

Halve avocado and remove pit by carefully tapping pit with the blade of your knife so it sticks. Gently twist knife to release pit. Scoop out the flesh with a spoon. Thinly slice.

Peel and slice shallot into very thin rounds.

In a mixing bowl, combine shallots and flour until coated. Set aside.

Form ground beef into two patties, about 5" in diameter. Season both sides with 1/4 tsp. salt and a pinch of pepper.

  4. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat.

Add patties to hot, dry pan. Cook until beef is slightly charred and reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes per side.

Evenly top patties with cheese (to taste). Cover until melted, 1-2 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    While patties cook, continue recipe.

  5. 5

Toast Rolls, Fry Shallots, and Finish Dish

Place another medium non-stick pan over medium heat.

Add rolls, cut-side down, to hot, dry pan. Toast until slightly browned, 1-2 minutes.

Transfer rolls to a plate. Turn to medium-high heat; no need to wipe clean.

Line another plate with a paper towel.

Add 1 Tbsp. olive oil to hot pan. Working in batches if necessary, add shallots and stir occasionally until golden-brown, 2-3 minutes.

Remove from burner. Transfer shallots to towel-lined plate. Season all over with remaining fiesta seasoning and a pinch of salt.

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom roll with garlic aioli, patty, roasted jalapeños (to taste), avocado, shallots, and top roll. Bon appétit!
