Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using steak strips, pat dry, coarsely chop,then separate pieces. Cook in a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat until steak strips reach minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes. Rest, 3 minutes.

  • If using diced chicken thighs, pat dry. Cook in a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes. Don't worry about trimming. Excess fat will render while cooking and add flavor.

    Start the Vegetables

    Spray both provided trays with cooking spray.

    In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 Tbsp. olive oil and butternut squash. Microwave uncovered until tender, 5-8 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave.

    Evenly divide butternut squash and mixed peppers between both prepared trays. Add 1 tsp. olive oil and a pinch of salt and pepper to each tray and stir to combine. Spread into an even layer.

    Bake both trays uncovered in hot oven, 10 minutes.

    While vegetables bake, continue recipe.

    Add the Chicken

    Pat chicken dry.

    After 10 minutes, carefully remove both trays from oven.

    Evenly divide chicken, fiesta seasoning, garlic salt, smoked paprika, and 2 tsp. olive oil between both trays. Stir to combine and spread into an even layer.

    Bake again uncovered in hot oven until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 12-15 minutes.

    Carefully remove both trays from oven and drain any excess liquid. Trays will be hot! Use caution.

    Add Pasta and Sauce and Finish Meal

    Evenly divide pasta, corn, and cream base between both trays. Stir a pinch of salt and pepper into both trays until combined. Spread into an even layer.

    Bake again uncovered in hot oven until pasta is heated through, 5-8 minutes.

    Carefully remove trays from oven and stir to combine.

    To serve, top pasta with cheese and tortilla strips. Bon appétit!
