Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

    Trim stems off Brussels sprouts and halve vertically (quarter if larger than a ping-pong ball). Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate. Finely crush saltine crackers.

    Place Brussels sprouts on prepared baking sheet and toss with 1 tsp. olive oil, garlic salt, bacon, white onion bottoms and a pinch of salt, and a pinch of pepper. Spread into a single layer, cut-side down on one side of the baking sheet. reserve other half of baking sheet for the meat loaf.

    Thoroughly combine ground beef, crushed crackers, mayonnaise, ¼ tsp. salt, and ¼ tsp. pepper in a mixing bowl. Form ground beef mixture into two equally-sized ovals. place Meatloaf on baking sheet and place in hot oven for 18-20 minutes. allow meatloaf to rest for 3 minutes before serving. while meatloaf rest make sauce

    In a small sauce pot combine ⅓ cup of water, cream cheese, caramelized onions and a pinch of slat and pepper. bring to a simmer and stir until cream cheese has melted and mixture is creamy. remove from heat and stir in swiss cheese.

    Cut meatloaves into ½" slices, if desired. Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping meatloaf with French onion cheese sauce and green onions. Bon appétit!
