Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |

- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Bake uncovered in hot oven until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

If using diced chicken thighs, pat dry. Bake uncovered in hot oven until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 28-30 minutes. Don't worry about trimming. Excess fat will render while cooking and add flavor.

If using shrimp, pat dry. Bake uncovered in hot oven until shrimp reach minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

1 Start the Sausage and Peppers
Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Remove all produce from any packaging or constraints, then thoroughly rinse and pat dry. Spray provided tray with cooking spray.
Remove Italian sausage from casing, if necessary.In prepared tray, break up sausage into bite-sized pieces. Combine with zucchini, 1 tsp. olive oil, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Spread into an even layer.Bake uncovered in hot oven, 15 minutes. -
2 Add the Pasta
Carefully remove tray from oven.
Add pasta, cheese, cream base, half the lemon juice (reserve remaining for garnish), and a pinch of pepper. Stir to combine. -
3 Bake the Meal
Bake again uncovered in hot oven until sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 15-18 minutes.
While meal bakes, stem dill.Carefully remove tray from oven and stir in butter.To serve, top pasta with remaining lemon juice (to taste) and garnish with dill. Bon appétit!
