Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

    Microwave Instructions

    Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry. Halve lime. Cut one half into wedges and juice other half. Stem cilantro, keeping leaves whole. Drain pulled pork and separate pieces.

    Combine pork, BBQ sauce (reserve 1 tsp. for bottom bun), pineapple, and half the cilantro lime pepper salt (reserve remaining for slaw) in provided tray.

    Cover tray with a damp paper towel. Microwave until heated through, 2-3 minutes.

    Carefully remove tray from microwave. In a mixing bowl, combine cabbage, remaining cilantro lime pepper salt, a pinch of pepper, cilantro leaves, and 1 Tbsp. lime juice.

    To serve, spread reserved BBQ sauce on bottom bun and mayonnaise on top bun. Top bottom bun with pork mixture, crispy onions, and top bun. Squeeze lime wedges over to taste. Bon appétit!

    Oven Instructions

    Turn oven on to 375 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry. Halve lime. Cut one half into wedges and juice other half. Drain pulled pork and separate pieces. Stem cilantro, keeping leaves whole.

    Combine pork, BBQ sauce (reserve 1 tsp. for bottom bun), pineapple, and half the cilantro lime pepper salt (reserve remaining for slaw) in provided tray.

    Cover tray with foil and place tray on a baking sheet. Bake covered in hot oven until heated through, 14-16 minutes.

    While meal bakes, in a mixing bowl, combine cabbage, remaining cilantro lime pepper salt, a pinch of pepper, cilantro leaves, and 1 Tbsp. lime juice.

    To serve, spread reserved BBQ sauce on bottom bun and mayonnaise on top bun. Top bottom bun with pork mixture, crispy onions, and top bun. Squeeze lime wedges over to taste. Bon appétit!
