Sausage and broccoli are such a perfect meat-and-vegetable flavor marriage, we hesitate to add the third wheel of pasta. Just kidding! We never hesitated at all in creating this meaty delight, enhanced by a creamy pecorino sauce with a touch of heat from the red pepper flakes. We'd happily be your third wheel as you and your loved one chow down on this dream pasta. We would! Why are you texting the police?

You Will Need
Large Non-Stick Pan
Before You Cook
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

Cook the Pasta
Once water is boiling, add pasta and stir constantly, 30 seconds. Then cook until al dente, 11-13 minutes.
Reserve ¾ cup pasta cooking water. Drain pasta in a colander and set aside.
While pasta cooks, prepare ingredients.
Prepare the Ingredients
Cut broccoli into bite-sized pieces.
Remove sausage from casings.
If using chicken breasts, pat dry and, on a separate cutting board, cut into 1" pieces. Season all over with ¼ tsp. salt and a pinch of pepper. If using steak strips or flank steak, separate into a single layer and pat dry. Season all over with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Cook the Broccoli
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 Tbsp. olive oil.
Add broccoli and a pinch of pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until tender but still crisp, 4-6 minutes.
Transfer to a plate. Keep pan over medium-high heat.
Cook the Sausage
Add 2 tsp. olive oil and sausage to hot pan and cook, breaking up with a spoon, until no pink remains, 4-6 minutes.
Add garlic and stir constantly until aromatic, 30-60 seconds.
Add white wine and stir occasionally until liquid has mostly evaporated, 1-2 minutes.
If using steak strips or flank steak, follow same instructions and stir occasionally until no pink remains, 4-6 minutes. If using chicken, follow same instructions and stir occasionally until chicken is browned and reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 5-7 minutes.
Make Sauce and Finish Dish
Add pasta cooking water and cream cheese to pan. Stir constantly until cream cheese is incorporated, 2-3 minutes.
Stir in broccoli, pasta, pecorino (reserve a pinch for garnish), red pepper flakes (to taste), and a pinch of salt and pepper.
Remove from burner.
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing with remaining pecorino. Bon appétit!
