Before You Cook

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Start the Sausage and Mushrooms

    Turn oven on to 400 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry. Spray provided trays with cooking spray.

    Remove Italian sausage from casing, if necessary. Divide Italian sausage evenly between prepared provided trays. Break up sausage into small pieces and spread into an even layer. Add mushrooms in an even layer, dividing evenly between trays. Top each tray with 1 tsp. olive oil.

    Bake both trays uncovered in hot oven, 15 minutes.

    Add the Sauce and Pasta

    After 15 minutes, carefully remove from oven.

    Divide marinara and cream cheese evenly between both trays. Stir to combine. Cream cheese will melt as meal bakes.

    Divide pasta, garlic salt, and half the Parmesan (reserve remaining for garnish) evenly between trays. Stir combine.

    Bake the Meal

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until marinara is bubbling and sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 10-12 minutes.

    While meal bakes, stem parsley and tear leaves.

    Carefully remove from oven.

    To serve, garnish with parsley and remaining Parmesan. Bon appétit!
