Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F
-
1 Cook the Chicken
Pat chicken dry, and season both sides with a pinch of salt and pepper. Heat 1 tsp. olive oil in a large non-stick pan over medium heat. Add chicken to hot pan and cook until browned and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 5-7 minutes per side. Remove from burner. Wipe pan clean and reserve. While chicken cooks, prepare ingredients.
-
2 Prepare the Ingredients
Peel and halve shallot. Slice thinly. Coarsely chop walnuts. Halve pear lengthwise, core, and thinly slice.
-
3 Cook the Green Beans
Return pan used to cook chicken to medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add shallot, pear, and green beans to hot pan and cook until green beans turn bright green, 1-2 minutes. Stir in ¼ cup water, balsamic vinegar, and a pinch of salt. Cover and stir occasionally until tender, 8-10 minutes. Remove from burner and drizzle with garlic oil. Season with a pinch of pepper.
-
4 Finish the Dish
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping chicken with goat cheese (crumbling if needed) and walnuts. Bon appétit!
