Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    prepare ingredients

    Peel and mince shallot. Once water is boiling, add pasta and cook until al dente, 6-8 minutes

    Make sauce

    "Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add ground beef to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes. Add marinara sauce, red cooking wine, mushroom seasoning, and tomato paste to pan. Bring to a simmer. Remove from heat.

    Assemble lasagna

    Spray a small baking pan with cooking spray. Spread ⅓ of sauce into bottom of pan. Sprinkle ⅓ of cheese over sauce and top with 3 lasagna sheets. Spread noodles with half of remaining sauce and half of remaining cheese. Layer with remaining 3 noodles. Top with remaining sauce and remaining cheese. Cover with aluminum foil and bake 30 minutes or until lasagna is bubbling.
