Add Chicken and Topping
Place chicken next to the butternut and cover evenly with cranberry sauce, ¼ tsp salt and a pinch of pepper, spreading evenly on chicken with the back of a spoon. Be sure to cover chicken entirely.
Finish The Dish
Bake uncovered in hot oven until butternut is tender and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 20-22 minutes. Carefully remove from oven. Rest chicken 5 minutes before serving. Top chicken with maple syrup and butternut with red pepper flakes (to taste), goat cheese and pecans. Bon appétit!
