Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Preheat oven to 425 degrees. When ingredient appears in recipe, remove from packaging. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry.

    Separate steak strips and pat dry. Mix pepper and onion mix, steak strips, and seasoned salt in provided tray until completely combined.

    If using 20 oz. steak strips, follow same instructions.

    Bake Dish and Heat Flatbreads

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until pepper and onion mix is tender and steak strips are browned and reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 15-20 minutes.

    When meal has five minutes left to cook, place flatbreads directly on oven rack and bake in hot oven until warm and pliable, 2-3 minutes.

    If using 20 oz. steak strips, follow same instructions.

    Finish the Dish

    Carefully remove tray from oven. Place steak strips and vegetables in flatbreads and top with feta cheese and sour cream. Bon appétit!
