Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Toast the Flatbreads

    Place flatbreads on prepared baking sheet.

    Toast in hot oven until edges are brown and crispy, 8-12 minutes.

    While flatbreads toast, continue recipe.

    Prepare Ingredients and Make Whipped Feta

    Halve tomatoes.

    Mince pickled onions.

    In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, softened cream cheese, feta, 1 tsp. olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.

    Prepare the Tofu

    Line a plate with paper towels. Halve tofu. Place half the tofu on towel-lined plate (remaining is yours to use as you please!). Top with paper towels, pressing gently but firmly to remove excess moisture.

    Using your hands, crumble tofu into pea-sized pieces. Season all over with piri piri seasoning (use less if spice-averse) and buttermilk-dill seasoning.

    Cook the Tofu

    Line another plate with a paper towel.

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 Tbsp. olive oil.

    Add tofu to hot pan and stir occasionally until crisp and golden-brown, 6-8 minutes.

    Remove from burner. Transfer tofu to towel-lined plate.

    Assemble Flatbread and Finish Dish

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping flatbread with whipped feta, tofu, tomatoes, pickled onions, and arugula. Bon appétit!
