Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Chicken 165° F |

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Prepare The Ingredients

    Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Remove lid and label, if necessary. When ingredient appears in recipe, remove from packaging. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry.

    Combine sweet potatoes, corn, 2 tsp olive oil,1 tablespoon corn muffin mix, 2 tablespoons water, and half the taco seasoning in provided tray. Bake for 15 minutes.

    Add Chicken and Toppings

    Break pork into small pieces. Remove pan from oven and stir in tomato sauce and pesto. Top with pork with remaining taco seasoning and a pinch of salt and pepper. Top with half the cheese.

    Add corn muffin mix and 1/4 cup water to a small bowl to form a thick batter.

    Spread evenly on top and sprinkle with remaining cheese.

    Finish The Dish

    Continue to bake until sweet potatoes are tender and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 18-20 minutes.
