  • 1 Microwave-Safe Bowl
  • 2 Large Non-Stick Pans
  • 1 Microwave

Before You Cook

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes. 

  • If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

    Cook the Vegetables

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add onions, peppers, and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Stir occasionally until vegetables are tender, 6-8 minutes.

    Add the Pork and Sauce

    Add ground pork, 1/4 tsp. salt, and light chili powder (use less if spice-averse) to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes.

    Drain any excess liquid. Pan will be hot! Use caution.

    Stir in BBQ sauce and 1/4 tsp. salt until combined, 1-2 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    While pork mixture cooks, continue recipe.

    Toast the Rolls

    Place another large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.

    Add rolls, cut-side down, to hot, dry pan. Toast until slightly browned, 1-2 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    While rolls toast, continue recipe.

    Make Creamed Corn and Finish Dish

    Place corn in a microwave-safe bowl and cover with a damp paper towel.

    Microwave covered until corn is heated through, 2-3 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave and drain any excess liquid. Bowl will be hot! Use caution. Stir in softened butter, honey, softened cream cheese, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper until combined.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom roll with pork mixture, then top roll. Bon appétit!
