Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |

1 Prepare the Ingredients
Stem, remove seeds and ribs, and cut green bell pepper into 1/2" slices.
Mince garlic. Pat diced chicken dry. -
2 Cook the Pepper and Chicken
Place a large oven-safe non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 Tbsp. olive oil.
Add green bell pepper and garlic to hot pan. Stir occasionally until softened, 2-4 minutes.Transfer to a plate. Keep pan over medium-high heat.Add diced chicken to hot pan. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 5-7 minutes.Return vegetables to hot pan and stir to combine. -
3 Make the Pasta Bake
Stir marinara, 1/4 tsp. salt, pasta, half the pepperoni (reserve remaining for topping), and 1/4 cup water into hot pan until combined. Bring to a boil.
Once boiling, carefully spread into an even layer and top with cheese and remaining pepperoni.Remove from burner.Transfer pan to hot oven and bake until dish is bubbling and cheese is melted, 15-18 minutes.Carefully remove from oven. Pan handle will be hot; use an oven mitt!While pasta bakes, bake garlic bread. -
4 Bake the Garlic Bread
Spread softened butter evenly on cut sides of ciabatta.
Place ciabatta directly on oven rack, buttered side up, and bake until crispy, 6-8 minutes.Carefully remove from oven. -
5 Finish the Dish
Halve garlic bread, if desired.
