- 1 Colander/Strainer

Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

1 Cook the Pasta
Once water is boiling, add pasta and cook until al dente, 11-13 minutes.
Remove from burner. Reserve 1 cup pasta cooking water. Drain pasta in a colander/strainer and set aside.While pasta cooks, continue recipe. -
2 Prepare the Ingredients
Cut mushrooms into 1/4” dice.
Mince garlic.Pat steak strips dry. Coarsely chop, then separate pieces. Season all over with 1/4 tsp. salt. -
3 Cook the Steak Strips
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.
Add steak strips to hot pan. Stir occasionally until no pink remains and steak strips reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 4-6 minutes. -
4 Add the Sauce
Add 2 tsp. olive oil, mushrooms, and garlic to hot pan. Stir often until mushrooms are tender and slightly browned, 2-3 minutes.
Add flour and stir until no dry flour remains. Add cooking wine and stir occasionally until mostly evaporated, 30-60 seconds.Add tomato sauce, mushroom base, 2 Tbsp. reserved pasta cooking water, 1/4 tsp. salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. -
5 Add Pasta and Finish Dish
Once simmering, add pasta and half the cheese (reserve remaining for garnish) to hot pan. Stir occasionally until combined and pasta is heated through, 1-2 minutes.
If sauce is too thick, add additional reserved pasta cooking water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.Remove from burner. Rest, 3 minutes.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with remaining cheese. Garnish with red pepper flakes (to taste). Bon appétit!
