Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground turkey, follow same instructions as beef in Steps 1, 2, and 3, baking covered, 15 minutes. Carefully uncover and bake again until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 12-15 minutes.

  • If using ground pork, follow same instructions as beef in Steps 1, 2, and 3, baking covered, 15 minutes. Carefully uncover and bake again until pork reaches minimum internal temperature, 10-12 minutes.

  • If using Impossible burger, follow same instructions as beef in Steps 1, 2, and 3, baking covered, 15 minutes. Carefully uncover and bake again until burger is heated through,10-12 minutes.

    Make the Meatballs

    Turn oven on to 400 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes.Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry.

    In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, 1 tsp. olive oil, Parmesan, panko, half the seasoning blend (reserve remaining for pasta), 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Form into eight equally-sized meatballs.

    Assemble the Meal

    Combine pasta, red bell peppers, remaining seasoning blend, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper in provided tray. Top with meatballs.

    In another mixing bowl, combine 1/4 cup water and marinara. Top meatballs with marinara-water mixture.

    Finish the Dish

    Cover with foil and bake in hot oven, 15 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven and uncover. Top evenly with mozzarella and pepperoni.

    Bake uncovered until meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 10-15 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven. Garnish with red pepper flakes (to taste). Bon appétit!
