Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Remove stem, seeds, and ribs, and cut bell pepper into 1/4" dice.

Remove Italian sausage from casing, if necessary.

  2. 2

    Cook the Sausage and Peppers

Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

Add bell peppers, Italian sausage, and a pinch of salt and pepper to hot pan. Break sausage into smaller pieces until no pink remains and sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Pizzas

Place two flatbreads, flat-side up, on each prepared baking sheet.

Divide marinara sauce evenly between flatbreads. Spread out sauce with a spoon, leaving 1/2" at edge of each flatbread without sauce (this will be the crust).

Evenly divide mozzarella, pepperoni, and sausage and pepper mixture between flatbreads. Sausage and pepper mixture may be hot; use a utensil.

  4. 4

    Bake Pizzas and Finish Dish

Bake in hot oven until cheese is fully melted and crust is golden-brown, 15-20 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven.

Cut pizzas into 4 equally-sized pieces, if desired.

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing with red pepper flakes (to taste) and Parmesan. Bon appétit!
