Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, follow same instructions.

  • If using ground turkey, add meatballs to hot pan and cook until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 11-13 minutes.

    Form and Cook the Meatballs

    In a mixing bowl, combine panko and 3 Tbsp. water. Let sit, 1 minute. After 1 minute, add ricotta and sausage. Stir until thoroughly combined. Form meat mixture into 12 equally-sized meatballs.

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.

    Add meatballs to hot pan. Cover and stir occasionally until meatballs are browned and reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 10-15 minutes.

    While meatballs cook, continue recipe.

    Cook the Broccoli

    Cut broccoli into bite-sized pieces.

    Place another large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add broccoli, half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for sauce), and 1/4 cup water to hot pan. Cover and cook until water is almost completely evaporated, 4-6 minutes.

    Uncover and stir occasionally until tender, 2-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    Add the Sauce, Broccoli, and Pasta

    After 10-15 minutes, add cream base, cream cheese, half the grated cheese (reserve remaining for garnish), remaining garlic salt, 1/4 cup water, and a pinch of salt and pepper to hot pan with meatballs. Stir occasionally until combined and meatballs are coated, 2-3 minutes.

    Add pasta and broccoli. Stir often until pasta is heated through, 2-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    Broil Garlic Bread and Finish Dish

    Separate rolls and halve lengthwise. Evenly spread softened butter on cut-side of rolls, then top with remaining grated cheese.

    Place rolls, cut-side up, on prepared baking sheet.

    Broil under hot broiler until cheese melts and rolls are slightly toasted, 2-3 minutes.

    Don't text and broil! Keep an eye on oven as rolls may burn easily under broiler.

    Carefully remove from oven.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with shredded cheese. Slice garlic bread into triangles, if desired. Bon appétit!
