Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using ground beef or ground turkey, roast until meatballs reach minimum internal temperature, 17-20 minutes.

1 Prepare the Fries
Cut potatoes into 1/4"-thick fries and pat dry.
Place fries on one half of prepared baking sheet and toss with 1 Tbsp. olive oil and a pinch of salt and pepper. Spread into an even layer on their side. -
2 Add the Meatballs
In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, onion salt, sour cream, and panko. Form mixture into 6 equally-sized meatballs.
Place meatballs on empty side of sheet. -
3 Roast the Fries and Meatballs
Roast in hot oven until fries are tender and meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 20-25 minutes.
While fries and meatballs roast, continue recipe. -
4 Add Toppings and Finish Dish
Halve and peel onion. Slice halves into thin strips.
After 20-25 minutes, carefully remove sheet from oven. Evenly top meatballs with BBQ sauce and onions. Roast again in hot oven until sauce and onions are heated through, 3-5 minutes.While sauce and onions heat, place rolls directly on oven rack. Toast until lightly browned, 3-5 minutes.Carefully remove sheet and rolls from oven. Stir piri piri seasoning (to taste) into fries until coated. Sheet and fries will be hot! Use a utensil.To serve, fill roll with meatballs and pickles. Bon appétit!
