To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

If using ground turkey, cook patties in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 2 tsp. olive oil until patties reach minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes per side.

1 Prepare the Potatoes
Place potatoes and 1 Tbsp. water in a microwave-safe bowl. Cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave covered until tender, 4-6 minutes.
Carefully remove from microwave and transfer potatoes to a clean, flat work surface. Potatoes will be hot! Use caution.Using the flat side of an object, press down gently to smash each potato until 1/2" thick.Place potatoes on one half of prepared baking sheet and toss with 2 tsp. olive oil, potato spice seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. -
2 Add the Patties
Halve and peel onion. Slice halves into thin strips.
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, garlic salt, and garlic pepper. Stir until thoroughly combined.Form meat mixture into two equally-sized patties, 5" across.Place onions in 2 5-inch circles on empty side of sheet. Evenly top onions with patties, pressing gently to adhere. -
3 Roast the Potatoes and Patties
Roast in hot oven until potatoes are browned and patties reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 12-15 minutes.
Carefully remove from oven. Evenly top patties with cheese.Roast again in hot oven until cheese is melted, 2-3 minutes.Carefully remove from oven.While potatoes and patties roast, continue recipe. -
4 Toast Rolls and Finish Dish
Place rolls directly on oven rack, cut-sides down.
Toast in hot oven until slightly browned, 3-4 minutes.Carefully remove from oven.To serve, top bottom roll with remoulade, onion patty, pickles, then top roll. Bon appétit!
