Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground turkey, roast until meatballs reach minimum internal temperature, 17-20 minutes.

  1. 1

    Prepare Ingredients and Start Vegetables

    Cut mushrooms into 1/2" dice.

Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate.

Place carrots on prepared baking sheet and toss with 2 tsp. olive oil. Spread into an even layer.

Roast in hot oven, 8 minutes.

    While carrots roast, continue recipe.

  2. 2

    Add the Mushrooms and Meatballs

In a mixing bowl, combine panko, 1 Tbsp. water, and half the soy sauce (reserve remaining for sauce). Let sit, 1 minute.

After 1 minute, add ground beef, Asian garlic, ginger & chile seasoning (use less if spice-averse), and 1/4 the onion salt (reserve remaining for vegetables). Stir until thoroughly combined. Form mixture into 8 equally-sized meatballs.

After 8 minutes, carefully remove sheet from oven. Stir mushrooms, white portions of green onions, and remaining onion salt into carrots. Push vegetables to one side of sheet. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.

Place meatballs on now-empty side of sheet.

  3. 3

    Finish the Vegetables and Meatballs

Roast in hot oven until vegetables are tender and meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 15-20 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven.

While vegetables and meatballs roast, continue recipe.

  4. 4

Make Sriracha Mayonnaise, Heat Rice, and Finish Dish

In another mixing bowl, combine remaining soy sauce, mayonnaise, and Sriracha (to taste). Set aside.

Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps and remove from packaging. Place rice in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave uncovered until heated through, 2-3 minutes.

Carefully remove from microwave. Rest, 2 minutes.

Stir in a pinch of salt until combined and fluff rice with a fork.

To serve, top rice with vegetables and meatballs. Garnish meatballs with Sriracha mayonnaise (to taste), sesame seeds, and green portions of green onions. Bon appétit!
